    Megadarra (Syrian Lentils and Rice)

Hi Everyone! Today I want to share with you a very simple recipe that is perfect during lent for meatless Fridays.  My sitto (grandma in Arabic) used to make it all the time!  It is extremely easy to make, delicious, and very healthy!  This meal goes very well with any kind of pickles and also beets.  I served mine with pickled beets and baby dill pickles.  Pepperoncini peppers and pickled turnips also go extremely well with this meal.  I hope you will enjoy it!

    Mattar Paneer

Okay, I know that it has been more than a week since my last post, but I finally have the recipe for mattar paneer ready!  One last meatless lenten recipe! I have been crazy busy (all good things!), so unfortunately I have not had a lot of time to blog.  Luckily I have today off from work for Good Friday today, so I have some time to blog today!  Speaking of which, I wish you all a Happy Easter!!! Mattar paneer is basically a pea and cheese curry dish, that I serve over rice!  It is delicious and pretty easy to make!  A nice meatless dish to make during lent. …

It also can totally stand on its own with a nice salad or cut up veggies and does not need to be served with meat!  I hope you all enjoy!
